Dr. Hegerich joined LSFP in 1997.  He is a graduate of the University of Virginia for college and Medical School.  His family medicine residency was through the Fairfax Family Practice Residency Program.  He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has special interests in medical information technology, teaching, prevention, pediatrics and sports medicine. 

Dr. Hegerich has been a visiting clinical professor at UVA since 1998.  He is also the chairman of Loudoun Medical Groups Information Technology Committee and was instrumental in selecting and implementing our current Electronic Medical Records system.  TJ and his wife Stacey live in Loudoun County with their four children. In his personal time, TJ continues to serve as coach for his childrens soccer teams.

University of Virginia preceptor(teacher) for third year medical students.  Each student has a four week rotation under the direct supervision of  Dr. Hegerich to experience real world clinical situations and hands-on learning experiences in the office and hospital settings.
