Dr. Poonawala is a native of Northern Virginia. He joined LSFP in 2006 after practicing for three years in Centreville, VA. He is a graduate of the UVA School of Medicine and did his post graduate training in Boston, MA. He has a special interest in pediatric care and partnering with his patients to promote a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Poonawala enjoys tennis, travel and is a huge DC sports fan. He lives in Ashburn with his wife Nema and their growing family.
